Watch: MTV Reveals Chanel West Coast’s ‘Ridiculousness’ Replacement

Things at MTV are getting a little more delightfully ridiculous.

More than one year after Chanel West Coast announced she was leaving Ridiculousness after 30 seasons, the viral clip show  has named Lauren "Lolo" Wood as its new permanent host.

"We're making it official," the show wrote on X, formerly Twitter, alongside a video of the offer being made July 11. "welcome to the #Ridiculousness family Lolo."

And as seen in video, Lolo—who has been appearing on the show as a guest host with current host Sterling "Steelo" Brim—could not be more excited, especially when show creator and host Rob Dyrdek asked her, "Are you prepared to be a permanent part of this cast and this television show?"

"Wow I thought you'd never ask," the 31-year-old excitedly responded. "Yes, yes, yes!"

And Lolo—who shares 2-year-old son Zydn with ex Odell Beckham Jr.—is no stranger to the MTV family as she previously appeared on Wild 'N Out from 2014 to 2016.

"After years of being a part of the Ridiculousness family, I'm sad to say goodbye to the show but very excited to announce my next big venture with MTVE/Paramount," the 35-year-old said in a March 2023 press release. "It's time for me to step off the red couch and step into the role of executive producer."

And of course, Ridiculousness was sad to lose a core member of their cast.

"The personality. The laugh. The presence," the show wrote on Instagram at the time. "While we'll miss Chanel on this iconic red couch, we can't wait to see all of the amazing things she has in store for this next stage of her artistic career."

The new season of Ridiculousness featuring Lolo is set to premiere on MTV July 14. To see what other shows will be hitting the small screen this year, keep reading.
