Joey King is excited for Gypsy Rose Blanchard's new chapter.

Five years after the actress portrayed the former inmate in The Act, she couldn't help but gush over Gypsy's recent pregnancy announcement.

"I love children and I'm very happy for her," Joey told E! News' Francesca Amiker on the red carpet at the Women in Film Honors 2024 Oct. 24. "I just think it's amazing. It's so special." (For more with Joey, tune into E! News Monday, Oct. 28 at 11 p.m.)

Gypsy—who was at the center of the Hulu series that chronicled the abuse she allegedly endured at the hands of her mother Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard (played by Patricia Arquette)—has shared insight into her life since finishing her prison sentence after eight years in connection to her mother's 2015 murder.

In fact, after announcing that she and boyfriend Ken Urker are expecting their first child together, a baby girl, she's given a glimpse into her pregnancy journey. Last month, she revealed that she began to feel the baby move around.

"I have started to feel those movements and I've started to notice her sleeping patterns," the 33-year-old, who is in the middle of her divorce from Ryan Anderson, explained in the YouTube video. "I have noticed that she kicks a lot at night, anywhere from 9 at night to 11 at night, and she's calmer during the daytime."

Something else that she's been experiencing? Cravings, which she said her little one notices.

"She's more active whenever I eat sweets," she recalled. "I ate a KitKat bar and she was up for two hours kicking me like every five seconds, so I'm getting used to that. So far, that part of it has been very magical."

But there have been some symptoms that were initially really concerning for Gypsy, although they should subside after giving birth.

"About two weeks ago, my thighs started to fall asleep," she said. "It happens when I'm standing for a long period of time, or I'm laying on one side or sleeping on one side for too long."

"I just take breaks throughout the day, sit down if I'm walking through the mall," she noted. "I just have to sit down for a little bit because my thighs start to burn."

However, it's all been worth it for Gypsy, who had always dreamed of being a mother.

"There's this tiny little life that is inside of you and that little tiny life is a baby, a little tiny human that's yours and that you have to make sure you protect, you love, you take care of, and all of the things that I wished I could've had when I was little," she explained on GMA in July. "All the things that I wanted in a mother, I'm going to give to this baby."
