Do you believe in love after love?

Even if you don’t, Cher is making it so by releasing the first of her two-part memoir Cher: The Memoir, Part One, on Nov. 19, and has also just announced a corresponding audiobook narrated by herself and Stephanie J. Block

Cher will introduce each chapter of her upcoming volume, according to a press release shared exclusively with E! News. Then, the 78-year-old will  hop on the microphone with Stephanie—who starred as Cher in the Broadway production of The Cher Show—and together, the women will turn the audio recording into a joint performance that will immerse listeners into each part of Cher’s life detailed in the manuscript.

The “Believe” singer shared that on top of Stephanie’s familiarity with her life from her professional endeavors, she chose to collaborate on the audiobook project due to her dyslexia.

“I knew I wouldn't be able to do it all myself,” Cher explained in a statement, adding of Stephanie: “I knew she would be the perfect choice to get across to the reader the essence of me. I called her and within hours she rearranged her schedule to start the recording.”

She added, "I felt so safe having her help share my story, and she did a beautiful job.”

Meanwhile, the Tony winner considered the project a privilege.

“Lending my voice to help Cher deliver the memoir has been an honor and a thrill,” Stephanie said in a statement. “Her life is fascinating, glamorous, surprising, exciting—and at times, completely heartbreaking. Her story is a beautiful balance of ULTIMATE stardom and accessibility. She is CHER for a reason and this book helps the reader get behind ‘the reason.’”

The upcoming book will detail every significant stage of Cher’s life—including the ins-and-outs of her relationship with duet partner and ex husband Sonny Bono, as well as her relationship with Gregg Allman—who she began dating days after her divorce from Bono was finalized—and her search for independence.

And while Cher’s newest project will reflect on her life already lived, she’s still resisting letting her age get the best of her.

“You never stop being a girl,” the Oscar winner told People in 2022. “If you never stop being a girl, you'll never get old."
