After all, the "Levitating" singer shared a glimpse into her dazzling night out in Tokyo with the Masters of the Air star amid the Asia leg of her Radical Optimism Tour.
Dua, 29, shared a series of snaps on Instagram Nov. 18, including her and Callum, 34, walking down a busy city street and a sweet selfie. It was a family affair with her sister Rina Lipa, 23, and brother Gjin Lipa, 18, who busted out microphones for karaoke at a local dive bar. And while the "Dance the Night" singer sang along, the Fantastic Beasts actor also took his turn belting out some tunes.
The couple, who confirmed their romance in January while packing on the PDA at dinner in Los Angeles, haven't shared much about their dynamic. However, Dua has previously shed light on her personal transformation that allowed her to find the love she deserves.
"I think with every relationship, with every experience you learn about yourself, you learn about things that are hurtful to you, what you expect, what you should be ready to give as well," she told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 in May. "I've had relationships which have been really hurtful. Especially earlier on, I feel like I'd been made to feel not good enough. I've had to find that again and you learn about your own non-negotiables."
Once you create that boundary for yourself, it's important that it reflects your relationships with others. As she put it, "It's, of course, the right person, but it's really about the right relationship."
And so, it's no surprise that this revelation was central to her latest album Radical Optimism.
"It was just so much about learning from every experience, taking everything as a lesson or seeing it as a gift in some way," Dua told Variety that same month, "whether it was good or whether it was bad, and just appreciating that even from some bad situations, something great can come of it, or I can grow to be a better or stronger person from all of it."
"At any moment, life is so unpredictable and people and things can surprise you all the time,” she continued. “I think a quality of mine that I like—if I can say—is just remaining open-hearted even when things don’t go right and not shutting down and being like, 'This is something that really hurt me and I’m never going to trust anyone in my life ever again.'"
Dua may find inspiration in her personal life when it comes to her music, but she isn't interested in giving details outright.
"Something that I've realized over time is how little people actually know," she told WSJ. Magazine in January 2022. "I've made peace with the fact that people can think what they want to think, but no one really, truly knows what's happening behind closed doors."
"My circle's really tight, my family and my friends keep me so grounded," she added. "It gives me some kind of comfort that not everything is out there that would take away from your life and privacy."
