Life may be like a box of chocolates, but it looks like Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker know exactly what they're gonna get.
The couple channeled their inner Forrest Gump characters to promote the Blink-182 drummer's new running and wellness experience, Run Travis Run. In a video posted to Instagram June 18, Travis donned the iconic blue plaid button down, khakis, red hat and—of course —Nike sneakers worn by Tom Hanks' titular character in the 1994 classic, while Kourtney served as his Jenny, who was played by Robin Wright.
"Run, Travis, Run," the Kardashians star cheered in the clip, which Travis captioned, "I JUST FELT LIKE RUNNING."
And the initiative is very dear to Travis—who shares son Rocky Thirteen, 7 months, with Kourtney, as well as Landon Barker, 20, and Alabama Barker, 18, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, 25 with ex-wife Shanna Moakler. As he explained, he thought he would "never be walk or play drums the same again" after a 2008 plane crash left him with burns on 70 percent of his body.
"I was never athletic and I never played sports," he continued on the Run Travis Run account's Instagram Stories, "but I immediately had this urge to prove everyone wrong including myself."
The 47-year-old said he first started with "short walks" that turned into short runs, which gave him "sense of calmness and a rush of dopamine every time."
"I've kept this up for years now, and I always start my day with it," he shared. "I even run 3 miles everyday before my shows when I'm on tour."
To that end, he is hoping to bring that joy to others by hosting a wellness experience in Los Angeles and New York on July 21, which will include a morning run and a mindfulness workshop.
"I wanna motivate people to get outside and walk or run for a few hours," he explained, "as well as make healthy decisions and create healthy habits."
He added, "This is what Run Travis Run is built off of and we are just getting started."
And of course, Kourtney was nothing but supportive for her husband, writing on her Instagram Stories, "you are so inspiring @travisbarker."
Her sweet note comes after a heartfelt Father's Day tribute, in which she thanked Travis for being there for their family—including kids Mason, 14, and Penelope, 11, and Reign, 9, whom she shares with ex Scott Disick.
"Happy Father's Day @travisbarker !!" Kourtney wrote on Instagram June 16. "Beyond grateful for the Dad that you are to our baby boy, and all of our kids. You keep us safe and protected and take care of us. Having a family with you is heaven. Happy to celebrate you!"
