For Adriana Lima, it’s good to be back.
The Brazilian supermodel, who was a fixture of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show until 2018, detailed how it felt to return to the catwalk for the brand’s first event since 2019.
“I’m so excited to be back in New York City for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show,” Adriana gushed in an exclusive E! News interview ahead of the event. “It’s so exciting because this is where everything started for me back in 1999. I don’t know. It’s insane—it’s crazy.”
And the 43-year-old—who shares daughters Valentina, 14, Sienna, 12, with ex Marko Jaric and son Cyan, 2, with boyfriend Andre Lemmers—shared that she only felt the good kind of nerves leading up to the big show.
“I could not sleep last night,” she admitted. “My head was just going, going, going out of excitement. I know exactly where all the cameras are on the runway—so I was thinking, what I’m gonna do, where I’m gonna look. I was just imagining that.”
The model, who noted fans will be “excited” to see the show when it airs at 7 p.m. ET on Victoria's Secret's TikTok, Instagram and YouTube accounts or Amazon's live video channel Oct. 15, announced she’d be returning to the iconic event on Instagram Oct. 14 and later detailed her feelings further in an Instagram Story, writing, “Big day! Good day!”
Despite the backlash Victoria's Secret received in the late 2010s—leading the show to go on a hiatus until this year—Adriana had also previously spoken very highly of her time walking on the brand's runway, despite the grueling diet and exercise regimen she kept up over the years.
"I've been in Victoria's Secret since 1999—I was a baby," she told E! News in 2023. "Now I'm a mom. And throughout all these changes in my life, I feel celebrated and I'm so happy to be here and as a model and a woman, to see that you have that space in fashion for me, it's quite supporting and uplifting.”
