Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse have eclipsed a new phase of their relationship.
At least, that’s what the Daisy Jones & The Six actress was suggesting when she asked the Twilight alum if they should join an upcoming season of Love Is Blind during her prank phone call to him.
“I just got offered to be the host for Love Is Blind,” Suki said on Phoning It In, a YouTube prank series with ELLE. “Isn’t that so cool?”
However, Robert—who welcomed a baby girl with Suki in February—needed a refresher on the show’s premise.
“It's quite deep, though,” Suki continued. “It has quite a lot of like, I don't know. I feel like it's [a] sociological experiment that's actually quite beautiful in lots of ways.”
After a chuckle and awkward silence, the Batman actor enthusiastically said, “Yeah, that’s interesting. What an interesting turn of events.”
It was then that Suki—who has been dating Robert since 2018—offered the “opportunity” to join the show’s cast as a couple.
“I just feel like it would be quite a good thing to do,” the Memoir of a Sparklemuffin singer schemed. “They were saying we could do it together as well, which I thought actually could be quite good.”
While Suki stifled her laughter, Robert responded, “Darling, have you gone mad?”
But she didn’t relent, adding, “Don't you think it would be quite good for us? It would be great for you.”
It was then that the jig was up, as Robert detected the joke and Suki burst into laughter. He proved to be a great sport, though, when he added through chuckles, “I was like, ‘Babe, if you think it’s right for you.’”
And it seems the Water for Elephants actor’s level head doesn’t just come out during playful moments, as Suki shared he has been “the dad I could have hoped for,” especially when it came to the day their baby was born.
"He was there with me and like all dads, he was really nervous,” she told British Vogue in July, “but for someone who’s quite an anxious person, he’s been very calm. I mean a dad and his daughter? It’s an actual love story.”
