Joel Madden loves showing off his boo, and Nicole Richie is proving to be it in more ways than one.
After all, the Good Charlotte vocalist recently shared The Simple Life star’s Halloween preparations in a social media post, which saw Nicole working out in the couple’s driveway while donning a super spooky mask.
As The Citizens of Halloween’s “This is Halloween,” plays in Joel’s Oct. 21 Instagram Story, Nicole sports athleisure and a mask with a white face, bulging eyes, long tangly black hair and a sinister smile. The 43-year-old—who shares kids Harlow, 16, and Sparrow, 15, with Joel—maintains an otherwise calm demeanor as she performs squats with weights in either hand.
Joel shared that the hilarious moment is just another day in the couple’s house, writing, “@nicolerichie’s favorite time of year is here and this is what I come home to most mornings…”
Of course, Nicole has never hidden her love for the autumn holiday. Back in 2022, she celebrated by sharing a throwback photo of herself and best friend Paris Hilton in matching fairy costumes, writing in the caption, “Happy Halloween.”
And as Joel showed off, Nicole’s love for Halloween extends into her family celebrations, too. In a Mother’s Day post in 2022, Joel shared one of the family’s Halloween moments in one slide, which saw Nicole in a full face of creepy makeup and even white dye in her hair.
Halloween is just another way Joel shows his support for Nicole. As she previously explained, the couple make the perfect team through even the scariest things life throws at them.
“We met and we were partners from day one,” Nicole, the daughter of Lionel Richie and Brenda Harvey, explained to Oprah Winfrey in 2014. “And from the second we found out we were going to be parents together, we looked at each other and we said, ‘Okay, both of our parents are divorced. We both have had ups and downs with our parents and we don't really have a strong example of what a healthy family life is. But, we're recognizing that now, so let's work at it and let's go through this together as a team.’”
