Watch: 2025 Grammy Nominations: Snubs and Surprises!

Please, please, please don’t say the Recording Academy has to pick between these talented musicians.

Because 2025 Grammys are here and the competition at 67th annual ceremony  is so stiff that everyone will need lots of good luck—babe!

As for who has made the roster this year? Coming off the release of her 12th studio album The Tortured Poets Department in April, Taylor Swift has nabbed six nominations including a record-breaking nod for Album of the Year, making her the female artist with the most nominations in the category.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter has earned the Grammy record holder 11 more nominations—meaning she is now the artist with the most Grammy nominations in history—nabbing 99 honors, beating out the previous record holders, which was a tie between herself and her husband Jay-Z.

Queen B also currently holds the record for the most Grammy wins with a stunning 32 trophies. And, following Jay-Z calling out the Recording Academy for the "Texas Hold 'Em" singer not yet winning Album of the Year at last year's ceremony, she is up for the fifth time in the category.

Another pop star on the top of the leaderboard is Billie Eilish, who received seven nominations for her third studio album Hit Me Hard and Soft—tying alongside Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone and Charli xcx. The 22-year-old has now been nominated for the ceremony's top honor, Album of the Year, for all three of her LPs—and has taken the trophy home once for her debut, When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go?

Other noteworthy nominees include Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan, who both received nods for Best New Artist as well as five additional nominations each, for Short n’ Sweet and Rise and Fall of the Midwest Princess, respectively. Of course, the pop newcomers’ credits come after huge years for both of them—with both Carpenter and Roan entering new heights of fame over the last several months with multiple smash singles.

And the “Hot To Go” singer previously shared how the Best New Artist nominees have been leaning on each other during their meteoric rise to fame (Although both artists have been making music for several years, they both earned their first No. 1 hits on the Billboard charts this year).

“We’re both going through something so f--king hard,” Roan told Rolling Stone in a September profile. “It was just good to know someone else feels that way.”

The 2025 Grammy nominations come just eight months after last year’s affair—which also saw several stars reach big milestones in their careers. Swift, for her part, made history by earning her fourth Album of the Year win for 2023’s Midnights—becoming the only artist to nab the title four times.

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus—who has been releasing music since the mid-aughts under her Hannah Montana persona—earned her first and second Grammy wins for her smash hit “Flowers,” which took home Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.

Since her milestone win, the Disney alum—who had previously earned two nominations prior to 2024—criticized the Recording Academy’s reluctance to hand her flowers for the first 17 years of her career.

“No shade, but I've been doing this for 20 years, and this is my first time actually being taken seriously at the Grammys?" Cyrus told W magazine in June. “I've had a hard time figuring out what the measurement is there, because if we want to talk stats and numbers, then where the f--k was I? And if you want to talk, like, impact on culture, then where the f--k was I?”

Even so, Cyrus celebrated in a big way on the stage at Crypto.com Arena by changing the lyrics to her Grammy-winning song shortly after nabbing her first win at the February ceremony.

“I didn’t want to leave you—but had to—I didn’t want to fight—but we did,” she sang during her 2024 Grammys performance. “Started to cry then remembered—I just won my first Grammy!”

Keep reading to see all of the stars who could take home their own flowers at the 67th Grammy Awards on Feb 2, 2025.

Keep reading for all the surprises and snubs of the 2025 Grammy nominations...

SURPRISE: Beyoncé

The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer is having a real life boogie and a real life hoedown with her 11 nominations for Cowboy Carter. After being shut out of the 2024 Country Music Awards, she led the pack with her nods.

Although it shouldn’t be a surprise since it the album did break several streaming records and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Top 200 in March.

SNUB: Ariana Grande

Eternal Sunshine might’ve been a wickedly good album, but the "7 Rings" singer was left out of the Big Four categories, which includes Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year. However, she did earn nominations in Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Dance Pop Recording.

SNUB: Jack Antonoff

While Taylor Swift’s frequent collaborator was recognized by the Grammys this year, he was left out of the coveted Producer of the Year category.

SNUB: Dua Lipa

The pop singer, who has three wins and 10 nominations under her belt, didn’t receive any nominations despite releasing her album Radical Optimism early this year, which included the earworm tune “Houdini.” The album also debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart.

SURPRISE: André 3000

With fully instrumental albums rarely nominated in the Album of the Year category and with a stacked list including Beyoncé, Taylor, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX and Chappell Roan, his New Blue Sun came as a happy surprise.

SURPRISE: Jimmy Carter

The former president, who has been in hospice care since February 2023, received his ninth Grammy nomination in the Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording category for Last Sundays in Plains: A Centennial Celebration. The 100-year-old, the longest-living President in U.S. history, has won three overall, including in 2019 for Best Spoken Word Album for Faith - A Journey For All.

SNUB: Hozier

Although “Too Sweet” was the singer’s first No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 and thus, became the first Irish artist to top the chart since Sinéad O’Connor, it didn’t earn a spot on either Song of the Year or Record of the Year.

SURPRISE: The Beatles

It was a blast from the past when the beloved band was nominated for Record of the Year and Best Rock Performance for their song “Now and Then.” Although first written as a solo demo by John Lennon in 1977, it wasn’t released until nearly 50 years later by his bandmates Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr (and George Harrison posthumously with guitar tracks).
