Tyler Cameron and Jason Tartick are the latest celebrities to roast each other during the viral suspect challenge, and the Trading Secrets podcast host couldn’t help but take a moment to troll his fellow Bachelor Nation alum over his brief 2019 romance with Gigi Hadid. After taking a couple friendly jabs at each other’s real height and desire to always take their shirts off—while taking turns running from the camera—the duo moved on to each other’s dating lives.
After Tyler quipped that Jason only dates girls with a million followers—in reference to his monthslong relationship with TikToker Kat Stickler—Jason gave a shoutout to the 31-year-old’s now infamous relationship with the supermodel.
While holding the camera as Tyler runs away from it, Jason, 36, says, “Suspect thought it was a good idea to take a super model out to a date, had his dad pay for it and launched their entire relationship at a funeral.”
Of course, he’s referring to Tyler and Gigi, 29, sparking dating rumors in 2019, not long after his appearance on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. Just a month later, Tyler was seen consoling Gigi alongside her mother, Yolanda Hadid and siblings Bella Hadid and Anwar Hadid at her grandmother’s funeral in the Netherlands.
The duo called it quits two months later, and she subsequently reunited with now-ex Zayn Malik, with whom she shares daughter Khai, 4.
As for details of who paid for their first date? Tyler previously revealed on Jason’s podcast that at the time he as trying to romance the Guest in Residence founder, he only had $200 in the bank.
"I remember I'd be going on dates,” Tyler recalled, during a 2023 episode of Trading Secrets, “callin' pops up in the bathroom like, ‘Yo, pops, I don't think my credit cards gonna go through. I need you to send me some money right now.' He's like, ‘You got it, son. Go get it.'"
Tyler looked back on those dates where he questioned if his card would go through adding, "You're just crossing your fingers at this point."
Following his relationship with Gigi, Tyler was linked to Kristin Cavallari and Paige Lorenze. Now, the contractor is in a relationship with Tate Madden—and he has Jason to thank for seeing their initial spark.
“Jason tried to set us up,” Tyler told E! in October about their initial meeting in 2022. “In a deleted scene from Going Home with Tyler Cameron, Tate was helping us be a photographer for the images we were using for our Airbnb that we were building. And he was like, 'I see something here. You better go on a date. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.' And Jason was right, I gotta admit. Jason had an eye for it.”
