It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas for Diane Keaton.
The Something's Gotta Give actress revealed her extraordinary plans for the holiday season: namely, the release of her first holiday song, "First Christmas."
"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S FINALLY HERE!" Diane wrote on Instagram Nov. 19, alongside the cover art. "MY DEBUT HOLIDAY SINGLE, ‘FIRST CHRISTMAS,' IS COMING OUT FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 29TH."
She added, "SO EXCITED TO SHARE THIS SONG WITH YOU ALL."
The 78-year-old noted that the song can be pre-saved before its release on all the major streaming platforms, and if the comments from her fans are to be believed, plenty of folks will be tuning in.
"FINALLY!!!" one user wrote in the comments. "We need a whole album too."
Another added, "What a fabulous woman you are."
And as one fan noted, "What can't you do?"
While Diane is best known for her acting skills, the Father of the Bride actress has never shied away from her love of singing.
"I had a fantasy of being a nightclub singer that I carried through even into my early 20s," she told film critic Richard Crouse in 2014. "I sang a couple of gigs, as they call them, but I was not very good."
The Oscar winner admitted that while she does love to sing, "I'm aware of the limitations of my voice," adding that she took singing lessons for years, but found she had "a very small voice."
"But I have this love of it," Diane gushed. "I love music. I love singing ballads and sad songs, it's just so much fun."
And despite her self-proclaimed "limitations," the First Wives Club alum has put her singing voice to good use, and can even be heard on the 1968 original Broadway cast recording of the musical Hair.
More recently she duetted with singer Ashe on her 2022 single "Love Is Letting Go" after Diane reached out to her because she was such a fan.
"I thought I was being catfished," Ashe confessed to American Songwriter in 2022. "I thought, ‘No way I'm getting on the phone with Diane Keaton."
Ashe added, "She's just the most precious, wonderful human in the world."
