Kelsea Ballerini has Michael Bublé to thank for her new pre-show ritual.
The “Blindsided” singer revealed that her fellow The Voice coach put her on to a cool hack that keeps her voice in tack.
“Vocalzone,” the 31-year-old told E! News in an exclusive interview at the 2024 CMA Awards Nov. 20. “I learned from Michael Bublé when I was filming The Voice. He was like, ‘Kelsea try these.’ I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, they’re amazing.’ Apparently, everyone does it. I didn’t know.”
The pastilles are meant to help soothe the vocal cords and aide in vocal care for those who overuse their voice.
ICYMI, the “Peter Pan” singer is joining the boys club during season 27 of The Voice as coach alongside Michael, Adam Levine and John Legend.
“It was awesome," Kelsea said about getting in into her red swivel chair. "I’ve had a really lovely time, and I can’t wait to be in that seat out there now.”
She continued, “It was so much fun. I feel like as the newer artist on that panel of judges, it helped me sharpen myself and dig into what I learned in the last 10 years as a newer artist, but still as someone who learned a lot.”
And according to Kelsea she had one big take away after working with the men, noting, “It’s made me fiercely protective of the women.”
However, there is another man in her life offering Kelsea some advice. The singer—who recently made her acting debut as a guest on ABC’s Doctor Odessey—shared that she turned to her real-life leading man Chase Stokes for some help before her on-screen debut.
“I’m fiercely independent, so I kinda tried to do it on my own,” she quipped to E! News about asking the Outer Banks star for acting tips. “And then I would go to him and be like ‘Hey how does this feel to you?’ or ‘I’ve only seen your call sheets, what does this mean for me?’ All the kind of stuff. He was lovely.”
And Kelsea is open to the idea of following in her man’s footsteps.
“I’m in a season of my life where I’m very open to other creative avenues that might be fulfilling so I really loved it,” she said. “Music and making records is always my baby. I’ll protect it and give it all the time in the world, but I would like to do more.”
