Patrick Schwarzenegger is having a golden time with his loved ones.
Two weeks after Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt welcomed their son Ford Fitzgerald, the couple's third baby together, the Gen V star couldn't help but gush about their growing family.
"I love being an uncle," Patrick told E! News in an exclusive interview. "It's really the best thing. You get to enjoy all the highs and great parts of the kids."
And that also means avoiding the woes of parenting. "When they start crying, or they go to the bathroom, or they throw up," the eldest son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver teased, "you give them over to my sister."
For Patrick—who is also an uncle to Katherine and Chris's daughters Lyla, 4, and Eloise, 2, as well as Chris' son Jack, 12, with ex Anna Faris—being around his nieces and nephews has given him a great perspective on marriage and parenthood. And it's especially helpful as the 31-year-old prepares for the future with his fiancée Abby Champion.
"I couldn't wait to just have another member of the family," he reflected, "and continue to get to learn from my sister and Chris on parenting and hopefully take that next step in my journey."
As for where his journey is right now? Preparing for his and Abby's upcoming wedding, which was initially pushed back after an incredible work opportunity.
"We got engaged, and literally the week after, I booked The White Lotus," Patrick explained. "I was like, 'I'll see you in seven months. I'm so sorry, but this is a dream come true.' I was on a high between getting engaged and getting that job at the same time."
"The planning took a back seat to my work there and she was so busy, too," he continued. "But we're hopeful that we get it off the ground now that I'm back and we're ready to go."
With The Staircase actor's work taking him across the world to Thailand, where season three of the HBO series was filmed, he knows how important quality time is with his longtime love.
"We're really big on date nights," he shared. "It doesn't have to always be out to a fancy restaurant with a fancy cocktail, but we go out. It's our night to dress up and pay a little respect to our relationship. Just me and her, and it usually involves martinis."
"Cocktails are a thing that brings people together," he noted. "It's fun to share the experience of having nice cocktails with your friends or your significant other. It's just something that we've come to really enjoy."
So, it was a no-brainer for Patrick to join forces with Ketel One as their first-ever spirit advisor.
"It's the first time the company's ever worked with a celebrity or personality or anything of that nature," he explained. "I'm bringing a fun, new vibe and look to vodka, to martinis and to Ketel One."
"What makes them so great is that they've been sticking so true to their values of being a family brand, family-owned and family-run, so that's been their marketing," he added. "Now they're trying to veer into another lane and to attract a larger audience, a new audience, and to partner with someone like myself to hopefully do that."
