Kylie Kelce is trying to put herself first in her pregnancy.
That is to say, the 32-year-old is hoping some of her genes shine through when she and husband Jason Kelce welcome baby No. 4 next year.
In a callback to a previous joke about Jason—whose daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 20 months, are the spitting image of him—blaming his wife for forgetting his jeans (as in, the pants) for an event, Kylie made sure to join in on the fun.
“I’m not a comedian,” TikToker LibbyLouWho said in a Nov. 23 video, “but I know that there is a joke in there somewhere after seeing Kylie Kelce’s pregnancy announcement and her beautiful girls that look exactly like her husband Jason.”
“Kylie needs to bring genes for Kylie in this pregnancy, in this child,” she continued. “Oh my gosh, but they’re all adorable.”
And though Libby may be workshopping the joke, Kylie—who confirmed she and Jason are expecting their fourth daughter on Nov. 22—chimed in with support for bringing her own stamp to the mix.
“Well done,” Kylie commented alongside crying laughing emojis. “I’m gonna try my best!!!”
As for the origin of the jeans-genes reference? Jason needn’t look any further back than his brother Travis Kelce making fun of his outfit foul at a September 2023 event.
“We had a picture of you on the green carpet,” Travis told Jason in an episode of their New Heights podcast at the time, referencing the T-shirt, gym shorts and flip flops he wore to the premiere of his Kelce documentary. “You really got dressed up.”
But Jason thought he had a strong defensive line when it came to his reasoning for the fashion faux pas.
“I was gonna have jeans on, but Kylie was running late,” he explained. “I just came straight from football. Kylie was gonna bring the jeans. Kylie was late.”
Travis, on the other hand, ribbed the retired NFL player and pointed out that maybe Kylie had more on her plate than his pair of pants, like, perhaps, the couple's three daughters, to which Jason relented.
“I’m realizing now that I probably can’t blame Kylie for this,” Jason said. “She was too busy getting the entire family situated with the babysitter and then getting herself ready and making sure her parents are with her.”
