Watch: Why Tarek El Moussa’s Daughter Taylor Wasn’t in Heather Rae El Moussa’s Thanksgiving Tribute

Heather Rae El Moussa didn’t waste any time shutting down her critics.

The Selling Sunset alum gave a sweet glimpse into how she and Tarek El Moussa celebrated their thanksgiving, sharing family snaps featuring their 22-month-old son Tristan, Tarek and ex Christina Haack’s son Brayden, 8. While both Heather and Tarek’s parents were along for the celebrations, Tarek and Christina’s daughter Taylor, 14, was noticeably absent. And Heather was quick to set the record straight on where the teen was.

“For the haters- Tay is on a trip with her mom,” the 37-year-old wrote to cap off her Nov. 28 Instagram post from the festive occasion, “that’s why she’s not in our photo.”

But before taking the time to curb any potential backlash, Heather detailed how the rest of the family celebrated Thanksgiving.

“We love the holidays and sharing this day with our loved ones,” she explained. “We are thankful for each other & the relationship that we have. A strong foundation to get through hard times together & to be able to grow together as husband and wife.”

"We are thankful for our kids, Taylor, Brayden & Tristan,” Heather continued. “They bring so much innocence, love and laughter to our lives. And our big blended crazy but beautiful  family. And we are thankful for our health. We wake up daily and strive for happiness and the excitement a new day brings. We hope that everyone has a ‘perfect’ day today whatever that may be and mean for you, Happy Thanksgiving.”

As for what Christina—who is also mom to son Hudson, 5, with ex Ant Anstead—and Taylor were up to during their Thanksgiving girls' trip?

The Christina on the Coast star shared a tiny peek into their mother-daughter time, sharing video of Taylor's hands as she scooped caviar onto a cracker on her Instagram Stories with the caption, "Best day with my fancy girl."

This Thanksgiving marks Christina's first holiday in her new chapter as she's currently in the middle of a contentious divorce from Josh Hall. But she has her ex Tarek and Heather, with whom she'll soon appear in the upcoming show The Flip Off, in her corner.

“Christina is doing great,” Tarek told E! in September. "She has the support of her family, she has the kids and she’s working her tail off."
