Tim Tebow is certainly tebowing over this news.
The former Denver Broncos quarterback and wife Demi-Leigh Tebow—who tied the knot in 2020 after two years of dating—announced the South African model is pregnant with their first baby together.
"I'm so grateful because I just couldn't imagine a better life partner to do life with first and foremost," Demi-Leigh gushed to People in a Jan. 14 article. “To be able to raise a little tiny human being together. I'm so grateful that Tim is my husband... that we get to do parenting together."
Meanwhile Tim, 37, added that the couple are “honored for the privilege of getting the responsibility and the joy of being mom and dad.”
Indeed, the former NFL alum—who played for several NFL teams during his three-year football career and had a stint with minor league baseball—explained how his family news has completely shifted his worldview.
“It's just amazing how it also reprioritizes and changes what you put an emphasis on and what you value most,” he explained. “News like that just supersedes the level of importance and the level of joy that you have. It’s so cool.”
And while both Tim and Demi-Leigh, 29, are over the moon, they admit that the reality of their newest addition hasn’t completely hit them yet.
“I feel like every time I say, 'Tim's going to be a dad!' it feels so surreal," the former Miss Universe gushed, with Tim agreeing but adding, “When I'm with her and I see the belly growing, then it just becomes so real.”
When their little one finally arrives, though, Tim can’t wait to see his wife as a mom.
"She will be extremely loyal and loving,” the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner effused. “Demi is someone that is extremely determined. When she sets her mind to something, she goes all the way in—and I know that she will do that as a mom, too.”
Tim is just the latest NFL star to announce that he has a baby on the way. After all, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce and wife Kylie Kelce—who share daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 23 months—announced in November that they are expecting their fourth baby girl.
Meanwhile, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany Mahomes—who also share kids Sterling, 3, and Bronze, 2—just welcomed their third baby, daughter Golden Raye, on Jan. 12.
“It’s been cool,” Patrick shared during a Jan. 14 press conference. “Brittany crushed it and it’s been cool to welcome another baby girl in our family and see how my other kids react to her.”
