Jonathan Owens knows who the GOAT is in his household.
In fact, the Chicago Bears player showed no hesitation in calling wife Simone Biles the better athlete.
As Jonathan told Sports Illustrated in a video posted to X Jan. 16 from their Sportsperson of the Year event, "I'm not doing no backflips."
While she might be the better athlete, Simone, 27, admitted that when it comes to being the better cheerleader, Jonathan, 29, wins hands down.
"He knows more and he really pays attention," the gymnast explained. "After the first half I lose track of the game."
As Jonathan noted, "I'll be locked in. She'll hear everybody else yelling and she'll be like, ‘What happened?'"
But of course he's grateful for the Olympian's support either way, adding, "It's the thought that counts."
The couple—who married in April 2023—also agreed that Simone is the better cook, although she thinks Jonathan is the better dresser, joking, "I just wear sweats."
But sitting around wearing sweats is one of the ways the couple enjoys unwinding together.
"Usually, either date nights or just sitting out by the pool watching movies," Simone told E! News in October about how she and Jonathan prefer to spend their alone time. "Anything little and intimate to have that time, because we're usually always out and about or away from one another."
The Olympian also feels that supporting each other's careers has helped keep them on track, saying, "That's what couples do."
And Jonathan has learned a lot about how best to support Simone, especially because he confessed he didn't actually know who she was when they started dating during the COVID-10 pandemic as he'd "never really paid attention" to gymnastics.
Luckily, his ignorance didn't blow his shot.
"She came down to Houston," the NFL player recalled in a December 2023 interview with The Pivot. "She lived in the suburbs, so she had to drive about 45 minutes. Then the rest is history."
