Katy Perry is ready to light up the stage again like a firework.

In fact, the "Woman's World" singer, who just announced an extensive run of The Lifetimes Tour in the United States kicking off in May, shared why her latest tour may be unlike any other.

"There might be a section that has some surprises," Katy told E! News in an exclusive interview. "We gotta keep these kids on the edge of their seat, you know?"

And fans aren't the only ones that will be on the edge of their seats, as Katy—who shares daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, 4, with fiancé Orlando Bloom—is also heading back on the road with a fresh perspective after becoming a mom.

"It's like Christmas again when you get to see it through a child's eyes," she shared. "There's so much light and joy and hope. One thing I will be implementing is an earlier showtime because now I feel for all the mothers that I put through when I started my show at 9:15." (For more with Katy, tune into E! And for fans wondering just how much Katy will be incorporating from her catalogue, she promises nearly everything and more.

"I like to have everything represented in its own special way, but I do feel a responsibility to my audience that they can have a sing along of some sort," she explained. "So, the songs that they know and grew up with and there's nostalgia songs that people have adopted for their life mantra or for a certain time in their life, whether that was a hard time or a happy time. Music really stirs our emotions and connects us, so I'm gonna be singing all those songs and more."

Simply put, concertgoers—who can score tickets starting Tuesday, Jan. 28 for U.S. dates including for Chicago, IL (May 12), the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, CA (July 15), and Madison Square Garden in New York City (August 11)—can be ready to roar.

As Katy noted, they can expect "a dance party with all their favorite songs and then a few new ones. Yes, be hydrated and wear a sensible shoe."
