Chappell Roan’s kink is conquering music’s biggest night.

The “Red Wine Supernova” singer delivered a showstopping performance at the 2025 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles Feb. 2, where she’s nominated for six awards including Best New Artist.

For her debut performance at the ceremony hosted by Trevor Noah, the 26-year-old belted her hit "Pink Pony Club" from her critically-acclaimed album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, which is up for Album of the Year.

And the hitmaker’s wardrobe stayed true to her theatrical persona as she hit the stage for the western-themed performance donning a glittery pink country hat with a large feather along with a matching bodysuit.

Chappell was just one of the artists to perform at this year’s show, which shone a spotlight on the victims and heroes of the Los Angeles wildfires. Other stars tapped to hit the Grammy stage include fellow nominees Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Teddy Swims, John Legend and Doechii.

While Chappell’s music propelled her to stardom in 2024, the “Good Luck, Babe!” singer—whose real name is Kayleigh Amstutz—has also become known for her outspoken presence, including a fiery exchange on the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet with a photographer she said was “so disrespectful” to her at a prior event.

“I was looking around, and I was like, 'This is what people are OK with all the time? And I'm supposed to act normal? This is not normal. This is crazy,’” Chappell said about the incident in a January interview with The BBC. “I've been responding that way to disrespect my whole life—but now there are cameras on me, and I also happen to be a pop star, and those things don't match. It's like oil and water.”

But that doesn’t mean Chappell intends to change who she is to fit a certain mold.

“If I can look back and say, ‘I did not crumble under the weight of expectation, and I did not stand for being abused or blackmailed,’” she stressed, “[then] at least I stayed true to my heart.”
