Jaden Smith’s red carpet fashion is a work of art.
Three days after the son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith turned heads on the 2025 Grammys red carpet with what seemed to be a giant house atop his head, the 26-year-old commented on his bold look.
“The Avant-garde Cannot,” Jaden wrote in a Feb. 5 Instagram post alongside several photos of himself donning the abstract accessory, “And Will Not Die As Long As I’m Alive.”
For the Feb, 2 event, which took place at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, the “Icon” rapper paired the custom-made vampire house headpiece—made by ABODI Transylvania in collaboration with artist Szilveszter Makó—with a custom black Louis Vuitton suit and white button down. And by his side, his sister Willow Smith stunned in her own raven-colored sequined bustier and matching pants.
As for the story behind Jaden’s unique accessory? The brand has shed some light on its source of inspiration.
“The whole process of creating the headpiece was a fantastic experience, from sketching to testing and realisation,” the company wrote on Instagram that night. “The artistic headpiece combines the mysterious elegance of ABODI Transylvania with a bold, modern design inspired by Transylvanian history and the vampire legends of the Bathori.”
And the company’s founder Dora Abodi, who often channels Transylvania’s legends and folklore to honor her family’s history with the country, shared her own perspective on what the look represents.
“The fields of fashion and music are intended for enjoyment and the pursuit of creativity, allowing individuals to express themselves freely and experience life and art to the fullest,” Dora explained in a statement. “The now famous ABODI Transylvania Vampire Castle serves as a symbol of audacity, fortitude, and an embrace of folklore and legends.”
Even Jada shared just how obsessed she was with her son’s confident expression of the avant-garde on the red carpet. Posting a photo of her two kids in their color-coordinated ensembles on her Instagram, the Red Table Talk alum added the simple caption, “!Period!”
After all, Jaden previously gave insight into his struggles embracing authenticity while growing up in the spotlight.
"I went through a lot of my life trying to be normal," he told Complex in October. "It was a really big deal for me for a long time that people thought that I was normal. And that bothered me after a while. I started to feel like people didn't really understand me or see me.”
“So,” he added, “I actively try to be myself."
