Hailee Steinfeld is shining a flashlight on Josh Allen's wins.
The Pitch Perfect actress couldn't contain her glee after her fiancé was named AP NFL Most Valuable Player at the NFL Honors on Feb. 6 in New Orleans.
Steinfeld honored the Buffalo Bills quarterback in her Feb. 7 newsletter, writing, "TO CELEBRATE: The freaking MVP!! Okay, this is a personal one, but I’m so damn proud of my fiancé!"
And his achievement wasn't the only milestone the couple was celebrating that night. The pair—who announced their engagement in November—also made their red carpet debut at the event, with her rocking an edgy strapless dress and pointed-toe heels while he coordinated in a sleek black suit.
Inside the show, Allen beat out Lamar Jackson, Saquon Barkley, Joe Burrow and Jared Goff for the title of MVP. And of course, he made sure to conclude his speech by recognizing all the support Steinfeld has shown him over the past two years together.
“Last but not least to my fiancée Hailee,” Allen said. “You’ve been my rock and my best friend. I would not be standing on this stage if it weren’t for you.”
That's why he knew he wanted to put a ring on it last year.
"I was very nervous," Allen wrote of the proposal in her newsletter Beau Society in December. "I think I was most nervous about you finding out about the proposal. It was hard to keep secrets from you and have other people in your life keep secrets from you. Then multiple times throughout the day a song would come on and I would tear up thinking about how special our day was going to be."
"I said I couldn’t wait any longer," the University of Wyoming alum added. "I said I can’t wait to start a family with you. I said your full name, and I asked you very nicely. I said please."
