Watch: You Need to See Chappell Roan and Elton John’s “Pink Pony Club” Duet at Oscars Party

Elton John just joined the hottest club in Hollywood.

The Pink Pony Club, that is. As Chappell Roan headlined the “Rocket Man” singer’s annual Oscars viewing party in California on March 2, the 2025 Best Original Song nominee, who lost to “El Mal” from Emilia Pérez, joined her on stage to sing her beloved track.

The duo gave an eclectic show, with them first performing Elton’s 1974 single “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.” He shared a video of the sweet duet on Instagram March 2, which sees him settled behind his signature piano as Chappell—who sported a Moulin Rouge-inspired white top and gold-buttoned vest combo—belted a few gorgeous melodies next to him.

“Sharing this moment together at #EJAFOscars was nothing short of magical,” the 77-year-old wrote. “For one night, we transformed West Hollywood Park into our own Pink Pony Club - a space filled with love and community, where everyone can be unapologetically themselves.”

True to Elton’s touching caption, he and Chappell then went on to perform her Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess hit. As seen in a TikTok uploaded by fan Nathalie Inglesias, she and Elton—who’s now wearing a sparkly pink cowboy hat—freely danced across the stage while singing the track’s lyrics.

Chappell, 27, then carried the set with her own discography, singing “Naked in Manhattan,” “Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl,” and the album’s electric opener, “Feminonmenon.” She then turned the dial down and performed Elton’s classic ballad “Your Song” as he sat on the further end of the stage.

Their Pink Pony Club, which Elton first started in February 1993 to raise money for his AIDS foundation, wouldn’t be complete without a sentimental shoutout. At one moment during the show, Chappell gave Elton his well-deserved flowers.

“Thank you so much for believing in me,” she said while holding his hand, visibly emotional. “You’ve sacrificed so much for the queer community. You made it so I could be the artist I could be.”

The “Hold Me Closer” star returned the sentiment, saying, “You’re the best, babe. I love you so much. Thank you for doing this [with me.]”

Chappell wasn’t the only rising icon at the event. Keep reading to see what other stars attended Elton’s viewing party….
