Beyoncé has some true soldiers in Chicago.

Fans in the Windy City were met with 2-hour delays during the May 15 Cowboy Carter tour stop as severe weather threatened the region. Indeed, members of the BeyHive at Soldier Field faced rainy conditions throughout the evening, as the region was under a tornado watch.

According to CBS Chicago, attendees were alerted that the concert wouldn’t start before 9 p.m. local time. In videos shared to social media, weather service alerts lit up stadium screens and people were told to find shelter inside of the uncovered arena until the storms passed. Finally, at 10:15 p.m. local time, Beyoncé hit the stage.

"I'm so happy to be on the stage seeing all of your beautiful faces," the 44-year-old told the packed stadium as she took the stage, in  videos shared by audience members on X. "Thank you for all your love even throughout the storm. Y'all are here. I am here, and we're going to have a good ol' time."

And not only did Queen Bey deliver her full setlist of over 30 songs, but of course, not to be missed were her and Jay-Z’s daughters Blue Ivy, 13, and Rumi, 7, who took the stage alongside her during “Protector.”

The girls’ moment wasn’t without a slight hiccup, as Blue’s earring got caught in her mother’s hair. However, proving that she’s a professional, the teen didn’t miss a beat as the removed the earring from her ear and her mother’s hair, and continued to deliver the performance, as her little sister smiled and waved.

Beyoncé—who is set to perform at Soldier Field until May 18—ended her show with a special message for the fans who stayed through the rain.

“Ya’ll are ride or dies,” she told the crowd in a video shared on Instagram. “I know some of ya’ll have to go to work tomorrow, you have to drop your kids off at school and ya’ll are still here. And I appreciate you so much. Thank you so so much.”
