Zoe Saldaña had the cutest plus one, two and three at the Elio premiere.
The Oscar winner brought along her 10-year-old twins Cy and Bowie and her 8-year-old Zen—whom she shares with husband Marco Perego Saldaña—for the new Pixar movie red carpet in Los Angeles June 10, and her older boys couldn’t help but take the opportunity to gush over their mom.
“We just want to say we’re really proud of our mom,” the 10-year-olds said in an exclusive joint interview alongside their mom with E! News. “For everything she’s done.”
But as they admitted, they couldn’t speak much to their mother’s filmography leading up to the new Disney film, out in theaters June 20.
“I’m not allowed to watch any of her movies,” one of the boys added, with the other admitting they did get to see Zoe rock her Gamora green. “Except we watched half of Guardians of the Galaxy.” (For more from Zoe and her sons, tune into E! News tonight, June 11, at 11 p.m.)
The Emilia Pérez star, for her part, was touched by her sons’ sweet words, but shared why it’s been hard for her to feel pride for her successful year, which culminated in a Best Supporting Actress win at the Oscars in March.
“I’m having a hard time coming back to my body,” she admitted, “and allowing myself to believe that it actually happened.”
Naturally, Zoe’s sons have quite a bit to brag about when it comes to their mom—and she’s previously said she uses her career as a learning opportunity for them.
“I've replaced, throughout the years, two very important words,” she told E! News in an October interview. “I used to tell them I have to go to work, and now I tell them I want to go to work.”
For the Avatar alum, the simple switch makes a big difference.
“I just feel like it teaches them that work is a part of life,” she continued, “and that if you're doing things that make you happy, all you have to do is just share it with the people that you love around you.”
But while work is an essential piece of life, Zoe admitted she couldn’t wait to get back to her boys at the end of this past awards season.
“I would want them to finish this school year with their Mama by their side because they are so resilient and they've been, you know, backing me up, along with my husband this entire campaign,” Zoe told E! News in March. “But I miss my children like I miss air, like I miss water.”
Zoe’s mini-mes made the perfect date for her latest premiere. Keep reading for more stars who have major lookalikes for kids…
