Yolanda Hadid likes to have fun, but she doesn’t play games—especially where her granddaughter is concerned.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum posted a photo of Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s daughter Khai enjoying a day at the beach with her son Anwar Hadid in honor of his 26th birthday. However, some social media users chastised her for sharing the snap, seemingly because the 4-year-old was in a swimsuit.
“This is really inappropriate,” one user commented on Yolanda’s June 22 Instagram post. “A child’s privacy should always be respected posting such a photo is not okay. Please think about how this might affect her in the future.”
But the mom of three—who also shares daughter Bella Hadid, 28, with ex-husband Mohamed Hadid—didn’t take kindly to the criticism and stood by her decision to post the pic.
“Please go and harass somebody else’s feed,” she replied, adding, “You are not welcome here!!!”
Yolanda has proven to be quite the doting grandma to Khai. In fact, she previously shared one of the ways she ensures the little one always feels welcome at her sprawling Texas ranch.
“This is inspired by my granddaughter Khai when she comes, because she loves candy,” Yolanda said as she toured the property’s food pantry for an Architectural Digest video in August. “I said, ‘Oma will make you one little section.’”
As for Gigi, 30, she’s also spoken about how she prioritizes Khai, specifically how she approaches coparenting with the 32-year-old One Direction alum following their tumultuous breakup in 2021.
“Zayn and I do our custody schedules months in advance,” the model—who is now dating Bradley Cooper—told Vogue in March. “That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t change here and there, but we help each other out and have each other’s backs."
