Penelope Disick is kicking off her teenage years the right way.
Nearly a week after her daughter’s 13th birthday, Kourtney Kardashian shared a glimpse into how they celebrated the milestone—and it seems the pair marked the occasion with a dreamy trip to Italy.
“My little lady is 13,” the Kardashians star—who also shares kids Mason Disick, 15, and Reign Disick, 10, with Scott Disick as well as 20-month-old Rocky Barker with husband Travis Barker—wrote on Instagram July 13 alongside several photos from their Italian getaway. “Being her mommy is one of the greatest things I have ever done.”
“She inspires me to be a better person every day,” she continued. “I won’t ever have the words for how much joy and love she brings to my life. She is the cooooolessssst.”
And when Penelope wasn’t pictured soaking up the incredible European views, she was celebrating with dozens of balloons, a personalized birthday cake, handwritten notes from her loved ones and a spectacular fireworks display.
As for why Kourtney wanted her daughter to spend her big day in Italy? Well, the destination holds some very special memories in their family.
“I am so indescribably grateful for my sweet girl,” the 46-year-old wrote on her Instagram Stories July 8. “She inspires me every day to be a better person. My parents spent their honeymoon here 47 years ago, so special to get to bring my daughter here.”
And on Penelope’s big day, Kris Jenner couldn’t help but take the opportunity to gush about what a wonderful young woman her granddaughter is becoming.
“My beautiful granddaughter Penelope is officially a teenager,” the 69-year-old wrote on Instagram July 8 alongside several photos of her, Kourtney and the birthday girl throughout the years. “I can’t believe you are 13 today!”
The reality star went on to detail exactly what makes the teenager so special.
“P you are such a smart, strong, confident, kind, fun, and amazing girl,” she continued. “You’re the best daughter, sister, granddaughter, friend, cousin, and niece, and you make all of us so proud every single day. You already have the most amazing sense of style and such a creative spirit.”
“Getting to watch you grow into this amazing young lady has been one of the greatest blessings of my life and being your Grandmother is a gift I cherish every single day,” she concluded. “The world is yours my sweet P, and I love you beyond words!!”
