Tristan Thompson's son is starting off third grade in style.
The NBA player gave his followers a rare look at his son Prince Thompson, 8—who he shares with ex Jordan Craig—as he took him to the first day of school by sharing a video documenting their morning together.
While holding his phone up for a selfie video in the car posted to Instagram August 14, Tristan asks his son, "Someone's in the front seat today, huh?"
The clip then cuts to Prince walking to school as his father asks him questions about his next big step in school.
"You heading to school?" Tristan says in the video. "There you go! Big third grader. What are you most excited about third grade?"
Prince doesn't hesitate in his response, telling his dad—who also shares True, 7, and Tatum, 3, with Khloe Kardashian and Theo, 3, with Maralee Nichols—that he's excited to use a laptop for his schoolwork.
"Getting the Chromebook," he shares, "because you can bring them home and bring them to school."
Prince also tells his dad that he's looking forward to getting prizes now because they didn't have them when he was in second grade. One of the prizes he's hoping to win in school? Mr. Beast collectibles.
The video ends with the father-son duo walking up the stairs towards the entrance of Prince's school. And when Tristan asks him if he knows where he's going now that his classroom is in a different area of the school, Prince looks at him before pointing out where he used to attend kindergarten.
Tristan's heartwarming update on Prince comes just a few weeks after he celebrated Tatum's birthday with a rare photo of him with siblings Prince and True together alongside their cousin Dream Kardashian, whose parents are Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna.
"Big hugs and kisses for my little Tatum's Bday," the 34-year-old captioned the July 30 Instagram post. "I Love you forever young king."
