Ryan Murphy Makes Rare Red Carpet Appearance With 12-Year-Old Son Logan

After Jack Schlossberg called the project—for which his family was not consulted or involved in—about his uncle "grotesque," Ryan questioned the validity of his concerns.

As he said on This is Gavin Newsom podcast in July, "I thought it was an odd choice to be mad about your relative that you really don't remember."

Jack shot back at the 9-1-1 creator's claims that he doesn't remember his late uncle, who died alongside Carolyn in a plane crush when Jack was about six years old.

"Hey @ryanmurphyproductions," the 32-year-old wrote on Instagram. "My earliest memories are of John calling me Jackolatern and 'the nudist,' picking me up from school, his Pontiac convertible."

"I remember being the ring bearer at his wedding and the day he died," he continued. "I remember Wyclef singing at his funeral."

Beyond being called out by Jack, Ryan also addressed critics who didn’t feel like set photos of Paul Kelly as JFK Jr. and Sarah Pidgeon as Carolyn captured the their real-life counterparts. As he put it to Variety in June,  “It’s very interesting that people become so inflammatory.”

He further emphasized that the photos were just camera test images and not the final look, admitting that he regrets not making it clear from the start. ““But I was trying to protect our actors from being absolutely swarmed by the paparazzi,” he noted. “But that’s on me. I made a mistake, and I’ve learned from it.”
