Watch: Lil Nas X Hospitalized After Possible Overdose

Lil Nas X has experienced a health scare.

Los Angeles police responded to a report of a "nude man walking in the street" on Ventura Boulevard around 5:50 a.m. on Aug. 21, who they later identified as the "Old Town Road" rapper, LAPD confirmed to E! News.

"Upon arrival, the suspect charged at officers and was taken into custody," police said in a statement. "He was transported to a local hospital for a possible overdose and placed under arrest for Battery on a Police Officer."

In photos obtained by TMZ, Lil Nas X was seen in the middle of a road wearing just white underwear and cowboy boots. At one point during the incident, he placed an orange traffic cone on his head.

E! News has reached out to Lil Nas X's rep for comment but hasn't heard back.

The 26-year-old's recent hospitalization comes four months after he shared he was suffering from partial facial paralysis, noting that even though he had to visit the hospital, he was keeping his spirits up.

“When I smile, this is me doing a full smile,” Lil Nas said in an April 14 Instagram video, during which the left half of his face lifted in a smile. He added amid laughter, “It’s like, what the f--k? Bro I can’t even laugh right. Oh my god.”

And true to his word, Lil Nas (born Montero Lamar Hill) kept his followers updated on his health journey throughout. “I’ve been chewing a lot so I can get this muscle stronger,” he said in an April 15 Instagram Story, pointing to the right side of his face. “It’s much better.”

“My eye still has to play catch-up but I can give a genuine smile," he added, "so that’s good."

More recently, after taking a small step back from his music, Lil Nas opened up about his forthcoming work and what his career means to him now.

"I look at it this way: last time I was bringing the world to me and this time I'm bringing myself to the world," he told Paper Magazine in April. "Now, I'm physically, emotionally, in every way, trying to go out and exist in the world. I mean the smallest things: walking in parks and going to grocery stores, little common s--t that I absolutely love and adore now. It's brought me so much peace."

"As human beings we always want to succeed,” Lil Nas—whose 2018 single, “Old Town Road,” propelled him into the spotlight—added. "I want to enter and stay committed to this area of my life where I don't try to force every single thing to be the biggest thing in the world because at a certain point, it starts taking the fun out of it. I finally found that fun again. I've been making so much music and getting more outside of my comfort zone."
