Hunter Fieri is officially a married man.
Guy Fieri’s son exchanged vows with Tara Bernstein in a “Denim & Diamonds”-themed wedding Aug. 30 at the Fieri family ranch in Sonoma, California—and the Food Network star couldn’t help but gush about his son’s big day.
“Congratulations to my best friend, son, cohost, business partner, and now married man,” Guy Fieri wrote on Instagram Aug. 31. “And to my new daughter in law @tarafieri, we are so excited for all the love and energy you bring to the Fieri family… and all the free pickle ball lessons lol.”
The self-proclaimed Mayor of Flavortown went on to gush about the happy couple and their beautiful nuptials, which began with a welcome party complete with Mexican food cooked by Chef Lorena Garcia, per People, and fried hot donuts as a nod to Tara’s Venezuelan heritage.
“Amazing couple,” he continued. “Next level wedding. And memories for a lifetime!!”
And of course, the 57-year-old had to mention the quality of the food served during his son’s big milestone.
“The FOOD,” he added, going on to thank a slew of chefs as well as Cake Boss’s Buddy Valastro for providing the 5-foot-tall cake. “If the chef’s kid is gonna have a wedding of course the baller chefs show up to cook.”
As for the rest of the wedding? Well, Hunter wanted the ceremony to resemble a “mini Stagecoach.”
"We just want to hang out with our friends, have some good food, and just enjoy ourselves," he told People in a joint interview with Tara published Aug. 30. "It's just all of the people who mean the most to us."
The festivities continued with “ranch elegance mixed with cozy camp vibes,” complete with a petting zoo and massive tents for the guests to stay in.
"We have some great animals, so people want to go and see them,” the 29-year-old shared. “Something fun to add, it's the ranch vibes."
And while the wedding was attended by 150 of the couple’s closest friends and family, the day was made even more special because Hunter’s 81-year-old grandma Penelope Ferry served as the flower girl.
"She was beyond thrilled," Hunter recalled of offering her the role. "But it was hilarious when we were asking her. We gave her this card and we had flowers and she didn't know, and she's like, 'What? Am I going to be a flower girl?' She completely guessed it before we could even tell her. She was very honored."
For her part, Tara—who wore a sparkling custom Justin Alexander ballgown for the ceremony—reflected on how her romance with Hunter all began.
"I know it sounds cliché, but when I met Hunter, I wasn't looking for anything,” she told the outlet. “It honestly is a dream to be able to meet someone like him that's kind of the guy version of me. We're so different, but that's what makes us also similar in the same way. We have a lot of similar qualities, and I would say it really is a dream come true to meet your best friend and be able to live your life the way that you feel free at the same time."
