North West appears to have a new piercing.
The 12-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye "Ye" West has people talking after seemingly debuting a new dermal piercing on her right middle finger.
North stepped out in Rome with Kim Aug. 23 in a black corset, a layered skirt and platform boots while sporting new waist-length blue hair that channeled her aunt Kylie Jenner's "King Kylie" era, but it was her fresh single-point piercing that left an impression.
Naturally, social media users had a lot to say about Kim—who also shares Saint West, 9, Chicago West, 7, and Psalm West, 5, with Kanye—letting North get the piercing, which would've required the presence of a parent or legal guardian, according to California state law.
"This is just sad," someone wrote on Reddit. "And also gives so much credit to all of those articles of people saying Kim has no control over her kids."
Another Reddit user called it the piercing, “actually so f--king disturbing.”
"Any piercer who would do this on a 12 year old child even with parental consent needs their license revoked,” they continued. “A dermal piercing is at a larger risk of rejection/infection even for adults, ESPECIALLY on the hand area."
Meanwhile, one person on X called it "bad parenting," while others proclaimed that whoever administered the piercing was being irresponsible by doing so.
This isn't the only time that Kim's parenting has raised eyebrows recently. The Kardashians star made waves recently when she declared that she doesn't "believe in homework."
“I’m going to tell you why,” Kim explained during a recent appearance on Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 livestream. “Kids are in school for eight hours a day.”
“When they come home, they do sports, have a life, spend time with their family,” the 44-year-old continued. “I think that homework should be left for in school.”
But Kim isn't the only Kardashian to have unconventional views on children's education. Her sister Kourtney Kardashian—who shares kids Mason Disick, 15, Penelope Disick, 13, and Reign Disick, 10, with ex Scott Disick as well as Rocky Barker, 22 months, with Travis Barker—recently shared that she thinks going to school is "do dated."
“I love to go against the grain,” she told their sister Khloe Kardashian during a May episode of her Khloe in Wonder Land podcast. “I think living authentically is not conforming to whatever it is. It’s like if someone does the same thing every day—I do it with everything, it’s not about our family. Let’s say the school system, I’ll think, ‘Why do kids f--king go to school?’"
