Chloë Grace Moretz Makes Rare Comment About “Dreamy” Kate Harrison Wedding

Weeks after Chloë Grace Moretz married longtime partner Kate Harrison, the Edge of Normal actress shared insight into one of the “the most monumental moments” of her life.

Chloë Grace Moretz had a kick-ass summer.

The 28-year-old filmed serial killer film The Edge of Normal in Utah, rehearsed for the off-Broadway play Caroline in NYC and, oh yes, married longtime partner Kate Harrison over Labor Day.

"Between the film I filmed this summer called The Edge of Normal and then doing rehearsals on this project, comma which is also not a lighthearted project, comma and then going away and having a dreamy wedding," Chloë said on the Today show Sept. 22, "I think it's such a funny juxtaposition of being an actor, is we're going and playing these dark characters, then we're going and having the most monumental moments of our life happen."

She added, "It was a wonderful break and a nice juxtaposition, for sure."

The pair tied the knot wearing custom Louis Vuitton looks designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, with the actress taking something blue to another level with a pale blue gown and matching veil.

"It looks like ice cream or something," she told Vogue in a video published Sept. 1 of her color choice. "Like a confection!"

As for Kate—a model and a photographer—she chose a more traditional bridal look: a strapless bustier and matching skirt, followed by a sheer tunic and matching trousers for the after-party.

“When we got engaged, I knew immediately that I wanted to reach out to Nicolas and Louis Vuitton [to] see if he would be interested in making my wedding dress," Chloë told Vogue, "and got a very overwhelmingly excited response from Nicolas that not only would he be willing to make my wedding dress but he also wanted to include Kate in that—and to make both of [the] wedding dresses and our after-party looks."

It was just one small touch of many that the pair—who began dating in 2018—including in their special day. As part of the celebrations, Chloe and Kate included activities they both love, including horseback riding, poker, fishing and line dancing.

"We’ve been together for almost seven years and making this promise to each other in a new way, and exchanging these vows,” Chloe shared, “I think it’s important to just stay every day choosing each other."
