Wedded bliss comes naturally for Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco.
As the “Love You Like a Love Song” singer exchanged vows with the music producer in Santa Barbara, Calif., Sept. 27, the couple’s family and friends were right there to bear witness to the joyous occasion.
Among the stars on hand for the nuptials were her bestie Taylor Swift, as well as fellow musicians Paris Hilton and Ed Sheeran, according to Vogue. Other notable attendees at the event included her Wizards of Waverly Place costar David Henrie and her Only Murders in the Building costars Martin Short, Steve Martin, Paul Rudd and Ashley Park.
“Marty is due to give a speech,” Selena told Drew Barrymore ahead of the ceremony. “Steve will probably pull out his banjo.”
And it all turned out perfectly, with Ashley commenting on their wedding pics, "Beyond special to witness your very extraordinary love. The most perfect celebration of a beautifully deserving couple and 'wife' looks glorious on you."
In addition to the celebrities celebrating in person, more also wished the couple well on social media, including Only Murders' Amy Schumer, who called photos of their special day, "Breathtaking."
Camila Cabello wrote, "love looks good on you" while Lily Collins added, "The most love to you both ever!!!!"
In the months leading up to the wedding, Selena, 33, and Benny, 37, offered insight into what they wanted their big day to look like—and which traditional elements they did not plan to include, like a first dance.
“I don’t think we’re looking at having one of those,” the Only Murders in the Building star said on the Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware podcast in April, “’cause they’re a little…”
Before Selena could finish her sentence, her now-husband explained, “She’s shy.”
Instead, the actress revealed she wanted to honor her maternal grandfather by making him a central part of her festivities.
“I am looking to have a special dance with my papa,” she explained on the podcast. “He never got a chance to walk my mom [Mandy Teefey] down the aisle because—good for my mom—she decided to go to Vegas and was like, ‘Whooo.’”
Explaining how Mandy has remained married to Brian Teefey since their 2006 elopement, Selena added, “It’s very cute that they did that, but I wanted to give my grandfather the opportunity to have that.”
And that’s not the only way Selena—who began dating Benny in July 2023—planned to buck tradition on her wedding day.
“I do know I don’t want a big cake,” she shared in a video on her Rare Beauty brand’s TikTok page in July. “My preferred dessert would be biscuits and gravy. My nana’s biscuits and gravy, that sounds like dessert to me.”
