It was rare, she was there.
Selena Gomez gave fans another inside look at her wedding to Benny Blanco, this time sharing a look at her celebrating with BFF Taylor Swift on her big day to commemorate the release of Taylor’s new album The Life of a Showgirl.
"In honor of SHOWGIRL," Selena captioned the Oct. 6. Instagram post, "blessed to have you by my side almost 20 years later gator! I love you @taylorswift forever and always."
The Only Murders in the Building actress included two photos of her and Taylor together at her wedding, including one of them clinking their drinks together that showed off Taylor's shimmering, tea-length blush dress. The gorgeous frock featured a fitted bodice and a full skirt adorned with floral appliques, and she wore her hair in an intricate updo.
But that wasn't the only look that Taylor donned on her best friend's wedding day. In the second picture that Selena shared, the "Blank Space" singer—who reportedly gave a speech at the wedding—wrapped her arms around Selena while wearing a sleeveless black frock with a ruffle detail on the front of it.
The "Hands to Myself" singer also included a video of herself in glam in front of a giant mirror as her veil got put in while Taylor sat in a chair next to her, filmed her and expressed her wonder at how beautiful Selena looked.
The "Anti-Hero" singer said, "Are you even serious?" before Selena responded, "I can't believe that I have a veil on! I'm so happy."
Taylor continued to be in awe of her longtime friend, saying, "What? Look at her! Oh, my God. Oh, my God. What?!" before Selena said with a giggle, "Finally! I love this so much."
Of course, this is one of many milestones that Taylor and Selena have been by one another's sides for, and the Disney Channel alum recently reflected on the origins of their friendship, which came about in the late aughts when Selena was dating Nick Jonas, while Taylor was dating Joe Jonas.
“Everything was cute, we were young,” Selena reflected during an Aug. 6 appearance on Therapuss. “She and I like to say the best thing we got out of those relationships was each other because it was really sweet.”
The 33-year-old went on to allude to how they helped one another through difficult relationships in the past, which makes this current moment even more meaningful.
“At that age we became best friends—bonded over the breakup, as girls do,” she recalled. “And then we just stuck around for all the ups and downs that came after, and here we are now 16 years later.”
