Andrew Garfield and Ayo Edebiri made quite an impression on Julia Roberts.

The Oscar winner, who stars alongside the pair in After the Hunt, revealed what it was about Andrew and Ayo that left her awestruck while on set of the upcoming psychological thriller.

“They are serious young people,” Julia, 57, told E! News correspondent Will Marfuggi in an exclusive interview at the film’s Los Angeles screening Oct. 4. “I’m not surprised, because they’re both such great actors, but it was so beautiful to see how committed they were to the hard work.”

Likewise, the trio’s costar Michael Stuhlbarg also heaped praise on Andrew and Ayo.

“Their brains are firing on all pistons all the time,” Michael told E!. “They’re really, really smart, and you can tell by the brilliance of what it is that they do. They’re electric people and so much fun to be with—not that that was a surprise—but getting to play with them was delightful.”

And Ayo feels similarly fondly for Michael, too. Not only did she gush over working with the Call Me By Your Name star in the film, but she also revealed to Seth that her obsession with the actor originated long before they shared a screen.

“I love Michael Stuhlbarg so much that my friend and I, after we saw Call Me by Your Name, we became really obsessed with him,” Ayo revealed during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers Oct. 2. “And we are both named Michael Stuhlbarg in each other’s phones.”

As for Julia, Ayo has made no secret of her admiration for the Pretty Woman star. Earlier this year, she paid homage to Julia on the Golden Globes red carpet by donning an oversized gray Loewe suit that bore a striking resemblance to the one Julia wore to the ceremony 25 years prior.

And earlier this month, The Bear star revealed her fondness for Julia may have been inherited from her parents, whom she recently introduced to the big screen icon.

“That’s the proudest they’ve ever been of me—not even being in the film with her, just knowing her,” she explained to Seth. “I truly believe—especially for Caribbean women—there’s three white women that are the holy trinity of white women, and it’s Princess Diana, Celine Dion and Julia Roberts.”
