Millie Bobby Brown’s world has turned upside down in the best way.
Two months after she and husband Jake Bongiovi announced they’d expanded their family with the adoption of a baby girl, the Stranger Things star shared a sweet update on how much their daughter’s arrival has already reshaped their lives.
While playing a game for Time with her Stranger Things costars, Millie's friend Noah Schnapp was tasked with guessing what she can’t live without. “Give me some…” he began, turning to his longtime BFF. “Is it that or that?”
And after Millie just nodded, Noah guessed she wrote down “Jake,” while Millie revealed she’d written, “Her baby.”
“But it’s the same thing,” she insisted. “Because without her, there’s no him—so it’s the same thing.”
In the time since Jake and Millie announced their baby girl’s arrival, the pair have kept details about their daughter—including her name and pictures of her face—under wraps.
After all, when making their announcement the couple wrote, “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy."
But while Millie, 21, is keeping the specifics to herself, the Enola Holmes actress has been candid about her desire to start a family since tying the knot with Jake in May 2024.
“I’m still really young,” she began during an appearance on the Smartless podcast in March, before noting, “But my mom actually had her first child at 21 and my dad was 19. Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like ‘Baby dolls.’ I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”
And 23-year-old Jake—son to Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley—was game.
“Jake knows how important it is to me,” Millie continued. “Like, of course I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally.”
Emphasizing her desire to have a big family like the ones she and Jake grew up in (they’re both one of four kids), Millie also noted adoption was on her mind.
“For me, my home is full of love for anyone and anything,” she shared. “So that’s kind of where we’re at. We’re wanting to start a family and it doesn’t matter in what way or when, but it will happen for sure.”
And happen it did, with the pair sharing just mere months later, “And then there were three.”
