The Billboard Latin Music Awards 2025 red carpet was hopping.

With Bad Bunny leading the pack of nominees with a whopping 27 nods, celebrities from all corners of the globe descended upon Miami's James L. Knight Center Oct. 23 to see if the rapper will walk home with his sixth consecutive Artist of the Year title.

But Bad Bunny faced stiff competition ahead of the Goyo and Javier Poza-hosted ceremony. Fuerza Regida trailed closely behind the 31-year-old with 15 nominations—including one in the Artist of the Year category—while Rauw Alejandro had 14 nominations.

Meanwhile, Karol G and Tito Double P faced off with 10 each, as Peso Pluma rounded out the pack of nominees with nine.

And it's certainly been a big year for Bad Bunny. After all, he was recently announced as the headlining performer at Super Bowl 2026.

"People all around the world who love my music," he shared during his Oct. 8 appearance on Saturday Night Live, before adding in Spanish, “especially all of the Latinos and Latinas in the world here in the United States who have worked to open doors."

"It’s more than a win for myself, it’s a win for all of us," he continued. "Our footprints and our contribution in this country, no one will ever be able to take that away or erase it."

For now, the community is gearing up to party at the Billboard Latin Music Awards, with reggaeton legend Daddy Yankee—now known as DY—coming out of retirement to perform his comeback single "Sonríele."

“Having a life of success is different from having a life of purpose," the 49-year-old told Billboard in an interview published Oct. 12. “Before, my interest was transforming the industry [through music], and that purpose had to do more with business and money, influence, success. Now my purpose is to transform lives with that same instrument. They’re very different purposes."

Also transforming lives with music at the ceremony? Performers Ozuna, Grupo Frontera, Kapo, Danny Ocean, Olga Tañón, Laura Pausini and La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho.
