Rylee Arnold has been changed for good after having Scott Hoying as her dance partner.
The Dancing With the Stars pro weighed in on her and the Pentatonix's singer’s surprise elimination from the ABC ballroom competition during Wicked night on Oct. 21, with her looking back on their season 34 journey.
"Honestly, this morning, I have a heavy heart, for sure," Rylee admitted in an Oct. 22 GRWM video on TikTok, "and I am sad that my journey with Scott this season is over, 'cause it was such an amazing season."
That said, her first feeling after becoming the fifth couple to be voted off this season was gratitude.
"I am so grateful that I made a best friend out of Scott," the 20-year-old continued, "got to experience and be with him this season and every single week, I was proud of what we created, I was proud of the improvement he was making, I was proud that he was going out there and doing his thing, and that's all you can ask for."
After all, Scott, 34, is "one of the most kind and genuine people" she knows.
The 34-year-old, she noted, is "one of the most kind and genuine people" she knows.
"I am so glad that I now know him and I have him in my corner," Rylee emphasized. "He is the funniest person I know. He always lights up a room when he enters it. I just had the best time with him this season."
But while she was the dance pro, Scott was well aware it takes two to tango, and Rylee gushed over how he was firmly committed to giving the completion his all.
"His work ethic is insane," she explained. "He would finish our four-hour rehearsal and he would go home and he would practice for hours. He would get the steps down, and the next day I'd see him, it would be better. He put so much work and love into it and as a dancer and as a teacher, that is just the most appreciated thing and I'm just so, so grateful that he was in it and wanted it just as much as I did.
Though Rylee is now a DWTS veteran with three seasons under her belt, she was able to learn a lot from Scott—whom she dubbed a friend "for life"—during their journey.
"Scott helped me grow in so many ways this season," she said, "and I'm just so grateful and it's so cool to kinda take a step back and look at all those moments where he was there for me and he was helping me and I'm just so grateful. I'm going to take so many things that I've learned this season into my entire life."
With Rylee and Scott now out of the competition, only nine duos remain in contention for the Mirrorball Trophy. Read on to see all the stars who stepped onto the dance floor for Dancing With the Stars season 34...
