Vogue was calling "Lights, camera, action!" on set.
Indeed, the fashion magazine paid homage to the film industry with its star-studded fashion show, Vogue World: Hollywood, on the iconic Paramount Studios lot in Los Angeles Oct. 26.
The event, which included celebs like Ayo Edebiri, Julia Garner, Angela Bassett and Jeff Goldblum, featured looks inspired by Hollywood's most beloved costume designers from films like Marie Antoinette, West Side Story and Dune.
While the celebration was full of glitz and glam, it was also about paying it forward. In fact, 100 percent of the ticket proceeds went to the Entertainment Community Fund, which supports actors, workers and creatives in cinema—specifically focusing on costume professionals impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.
With Baz Luhrmann pseudo-directing the runway show, Nicole Kidman kicked off the evening with a rendition of Gilda's "Don't Put the Blame on Me." Dressed as Rita Hayworth's titular character, she stunned in a black and white noir set before strutting onto the show's runway.
After the Great Gatsby director told the audience that "this is not a normal fashion parade" and to continue "cheering and bringing the energy up," Kendall Jenner proved she knew the life of a showgirl as she walked in Nicole's dazzling Moulin Rouge! silver ensemble.
The show was divided into seven acts—with the help of brands Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, ALAÏA, Marc Jacobs, Valentino and Balmain—each representing a different genre of film.
Beginning with Hollywood glamour—which highlighted work from Catherine Martin—the Kardashians star, Kyle MacLachlan and Elizabeth Debicki brought the Golden Age to life.
Other designers spotlighted throughout the show were Edward Scissorhands' Colleen Atwood, Marie Antoinette's Milena Canonero, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood's Arianne Phillips, Orlando's Sandy Powell, Black Panther's Ruth E. Carter and Dune's Jacqueline West.
Along with Regé-Jean Page, Greta Lee and Jodie Turner-Smith being among the actors who hit the runway, artists like Doja Cat and Gracie Abrams hit all the right notes as the evening's performers.
The star power went beyond the show itself with celebs like Hailey Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Lizzo, Cynthia Erivo, Viola Davis, Rita Ora, Jennifer Hudson and Hilary Duff cheering from the sidelines.
The show ended as it began, with Nicole—who filed for divorce from Keith Urban last month after 20 years together—closing out the event. Hand-in-hand with Baz, the Baby Girl actress kissed the crowd goodbye. The Elvis director concluded, "Cast and crew, that is a wrap!"
