Jennifer Lawrence knows every challenge has its silver linings.

And becoming a mom was no different. After welcoming son Cy, 3, and her second baby with husband Cooke Moroney earlier this year, The Hunger Games alum expressed gratitude for the support she found during her postpartum experience.

"As a mom, especially when I was a new, first-time mom, my community and having a mom community was so vital," Jennifer told E! News in an exclusive interview at the New York premiere of Die My Love Nov. 1. "Having a community is so, so important and just being able to check in with other women, like, 'Is this normal?'"

And the Oscar winner found support in different spaces of her life. As she explained, "Even just meeting moms from the park, or mommy-and-me class or eventually meeting other parents in my son's school."

So when it came time to bring her character Grace to life in Die My Love, Jennifer—starring opposite Robert Pattinson in the film premiering Nov. 7—revealed she tapped into her own experience.

Reflecting on her life with a deeply supportive community, she explained, "It was really easy for me to see and follow that path of isolation and how much that would affect my mental well-being."

It was especially helpful that Jennifer—who tied the knot with Cooke, an art gallery director, in 2019—already understood the introspective experience of motherhood.

"I had more information than I would have if I wasn't a mom 'cause I have the perspective from the child," she noted, "which I just wouldn't have had before if I wasn't thinking about another person's nervous system all day, every day, I just wouldn't be aware."

But Jennifer also emphasized that motherhood affects her career beyond just stepping in front of the camera. "It's not just when I'm shooting a movie," she shared. "But when in the day I read a script. It just changes everything."

The No Hard Feelings actress further reflected on the way parenthood had reshaped her life.

"Having children changes everything, it changes your whole life," the Oscar winner told reporters in May at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. "It's brutal and incredible. They go into every decision of if I'm working, where I'm working, when I'm working."

"I didn't know that I could feel so much and my job has a lot to do with emotion," she continued. "They've opened up the world to me. It's almost feeling like a blister or something—so sensitive. So they've changed my life, obviously, for the best and they've changed me creatively."
