Watch: Kim Kardashian Has Priceless Reaction to ‘All's Fair’ Criticism

Kim Kardashian is all about love and war.

At least, her character is. After all, the reality star stars as a highly sought-after divorce attorney and partner at a women-owned family law firm alongside Naomi Watts and Niecy Nash in Ryan Murphy's new series All's Fair

But how realistic is their story? With each episode packed with glitz, glamour and a lot of drama, Kim's own divorce attorney Laura Wasser—whom she previously revealed was the inspiration behind her character Allura Grant—is giving all the details, pro bono.

"You take television in general, but certainly you take Ryan Murphy and Kim Kardashian with a grain of salt in terms of defining reality," Laura told E! News in an exclusive joint interview with HelloPrenup founder Julia Rodgers. "It's entertainment. That's why we watch TV and why we go to the movies: to be entertained."

For instance, with Allura (Kim), Liberty Ronson (Naomi) and Emerald Greene (Niecy) being 20-year attorneys, Laura—a managing partner at her father Dennis Wasser's firm Wasser Cooperman & Mandles—isn't convinced they would actually have the funds for a private jet and comfortably bid at a luxury jewelry auction.

"I'm a 30-year-plus lawyer at this point, and I will go on record as saying I do not have a plane," she emphasized. "I have never flown to New York or even stayed locally and bid on a multi-hundred-thousand-dollar piece at a Sotheby's or Christie's Auction. I have one nice car—usually paid through my firm because I drive to court in it."

"I don't know where all of that wealth is coming from," the lawyer—whose who has previously represented Ryan Reynolds, Heidi Klum, Angelina Jolie and more celebs in their respective divorces—quipped, "but I love it for them."

And don't expect to see divorce attorneys decked out in elaborate ensembles, like Kim's daring gray form-fitting gown, complete with a veiled hood pinned to her head.

Disney/Ser Baffo

"The outfits, I have to say, are probably not outfits that you see a lot of family law attorneys wearing around the office or court," Julia explained, "but beautiful, beautiful fashion!"

However, that doesn't mean the show doesn't hold some accuracy, such as some of the lawyers' negotiating tactics.  In the show, the partners dig up sexually explicit photos of one husband who was planning to leave his wife Grace (Grace Gummer) without any money during their settlement. Similarly, they find audio of another coercing his wife Lee-Ann (Jessica Simpson) into getting more plastic surgery than she wanted.

Although Laura isn't a "huge proponent" of these kinds of tactics, they're certainly ones that work.

Disney

"That's one of the more frustrating things about working with high-net-worth and high-profile individuals. For lack of a better legal term, extortion often comes in play," she explained. "We do see that a lot because we are very cognizant of trying to keep people out of the media and keep people from getting canceled."

And it's especially useful in California, where all divorce filings are public.

"Anything that you're going to say, any exhibits that you attach—whether they're admissible or not—once they hit the family law portal, that's public," Laura continued. "It really can be very dicey in terms of what you're going to litigate. As much as we try to keep things private, they often are not private."

Meanwhile, Julia—who emphasized that everyone should have a prenuptial agreement—commended the show's portrayal of prenups, particularly when it came to both older and younger women.

Disney

"There are certainly elements that are dramatized for TV, but I think that a lot of those negotiations are real," she explained. "For example, Grace signed the prenup when she was very young. That's a perfect example of someone who a prenup could have protected in a greater capacity."

"A well-drafted prenup takes into account potential life circumstances down the road," she continued, noting that had Grace's husband's future success been taken into account, "she could have been more protected."

For Laura, what the show—which also stars Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close and Teyana Taylordid exceptionally well was highlight the overarching theme of heartbreak, no matter their financial background.

Disney/Ser Baffo

"Almost all of the clients in those episodes say, 'How could this have happened to me? How could I have let this happen?'" she shared. "That is a real common thread. What I often say is that divorce is the greatest common denominator. It equalizes everybody, and you all experience it."

"This is someone with whom you shared a bed, and you were intimate," she said. "They might have been in the delivery room with you when you were having your children and you had all of these moments. They were almost a part of you, and now they're not anymore. How is that going to be, and how does that feel?"

Now, as fans wait to see more of Allura, Liberty and Emerald in the Hulu series streaming every Tuesday, keep reading for some of Hollywood's most expensive divorces.
