Christopher Schwarzenegger had a groovy time celebrating his mom.
The youngest son of Maria Shriver and ex Arnold Schwarzenegger, 28, made a rare appearance with his mom and siblings Katherine Schwarzenegger, 35, Christina Schwarzenegger, 34, and Patrick Schwarzenegger, 32, while celebrating Maria’s ‘70s-themed 70th birthday on Nov. 6.
The photobooth shot from Maria's birthday bash, shared to Patrick’s Instagram Story, features a shiny gold backdrop, a light up happy birthday sign and the five family members all dressed in theme by donning sparkly jumpsuits, flower glasses, bright colors, feather boas and more.
Christopher, who has detailed his yearslong weight loss journey, in particular wore a barely-buttoned floral shirt and sunglasses, styling his hair in curls and his mustache in a thin horseshoe shape with a goatee.
As Patrick, who married longtime girlfriend Abby Champion back in September, captioned the Instagram Story, "Happy Birthday @mariashriver" with two dancing emojis.
Maria’s big day isn't the only recent occasion where Christopher has been spending quality time with the family. In October, the University of Michigan grad was seen at a pumpkin patch in Brentwood, Calif., with Katherine, her husband Chris Pratt and their daughters Lyla, 5, and Eloise, 3. (The couple also share son Ford, 12 months, and the Guardians of the Galaxy alum is dad to Jack, 13, with ex Anna Faris.)
For that outing, Christopher showed off his dramatic body transformation on the casual fall day, wearing a white tank top revealing his muscular arms that could easily carry three pumpkins at a time.
Earlier this year, he shared rare insight into his new look, explaining it started due to a desire to do more intense physical activities like skydiving.
“I started in 2019 when I was living in Australia. I was on this big trip. I made it a big [deal] like, ‘Oh, I’m going to go out and do all this stuff in Australia,’ and I just saw how much my weight was prohibiting me from doing the everyday activities.” Christopher said during a May appearance at the Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit. "I was like, 'I want to go skydiving.' And my friends were like, 'Yeah, no shot.' I was like, 'Yeah, I can't skydive.'"
And while he explained that “it’s not an overnight thing," it has been "a big process" that will only continue.
"Even still to this day, when [you see] before and after photos," he reflected, "I don’t feel like I’m an after yet.”
