Brendan Fraser is decking the halls—and more.
The Oscar winner—who shares kids Griffin Fraser, 23, Holden Fraser, 21, and Leland Fraser, 19, with ex-wife Afton Smith—revealed that his family has a very unique way of decorating for the holiday season.
"I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving," Brendan told E! News in an exclusive interview, "because that's when we dress up the 3D rubber deer in the backyard."
While have family have used traditional winter clothes in the past, the 56-year-old plans to step up the stag statue's style this year with some unconventional accessories.
"I'm going to cut some ping pong balls in half and draw eyeballs on it," Brendan shared. "I found an old mold from my dentist, I want to stick it in deer's mouth."
But don't expect the actor to bring anything other than props to the table. After all, he doesn't plan on doing the cooking this Thanksgiving.
"I'm just going to be the venue owner," Brendan quipped. "Everybody else going to have to show up with the goodies."
And Brendan is grateful to have loved ones he can count on. As he found out in his research for his role in the upcoming film Rental Family—about an American actor living in Tokyo who is hired to play stand-in roles for strangers in social situations—not everyone is blessed with a support system.
"People genuinely need to feel fulfilled," he shared. "If we're not fulfilled in that way that we're comforted by having that sense of belonging that comes with family—whether that's your blood family, your found family—it can do some harm to a whole demographic of people."
As for the Oscar buzz surrounding the Hikari-helmed movie, Brendan gushed that it's "fulfilling for sure, but let's just see where we go along."
"I'm glad that this film is resonating with people," the Whale star added. "People feel like it does give them a sense of accomplishment by looking within to find the need to be fulfilled when you may have thought that you weren't enough all along. As it turns out, you really were."
Rental Family opens in theaters on Nov. 21.
