Ginnifer Goodwin Makes Rare Comments About Raising Her and Josh Dallas' Kids

Once upon a time, Snow White and Prince Charming brought their kids into the spotlight.

For nine years, Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas kept their sons Oliver, 11, and Hugo, 9, mostly out of the public eye. But on Nov. 13, the Once Upon a Time couple allowed their kids to make their red carpet debut at the premiere of Disney's Zootopia 2, which stars their mom as leading character Judy Hopps.

"We have never let our children go to Hollywood anything," the actress exclusively told E! News on the red carpet. "We're very private, we heart out their faces on social media."

So Ginnifer and Josh—who tied the knot in 2014—laid down a key ground rule for their boys. "We've explained to them we're still not gonna be posting about them and they're not allowed to Google themselves," the Big Love alum shared. "And then they say, but their friends are going to, and I'm like, 'That's fine. We're not their parents.'"

The pair's sons had persuaded Ginnifer and Josh to let them join them at the premiere of the film.

"We were like, 'You're right,'" she explained, "this is a family thing for us, Zootopia.'"

As she noted, Oliver—who was a baby when Ginnifer first recorded the voice of Judy in the original 2016 film—and Hugo initially didn't believe that their mom is actually the voice of Judy.

"For like years, they thought that I was doing an impression of Judy Hopps," the He's Just Not That into You actress recalled, "and they thought it was not a good impression, either."

The premiere also made for a glamorous family movie night, marking the first time the boys will have seen Zootopia 2, which is set for release in theaters on Nov. 26.

"My husband and I have seen it a few times," noted Ginnifer, who has been married to Josh since 2014. "But tonight's the first time that my boys are gonna see it."
