Jordyn Woods is clutch when it comes to sweet birthday gifts.
The 28-year-old marked her boyfriend Karl-Anthony Towns’ milestone 30th birthday with a sweet callback to his late mother Jackie Cruz-Towns.
“During the summer Karl asked me if I could drive any car for a day which one would it be… I answered and his response was ‘I wouldn’t pick anything crazy, I just really loved my mom’s car she had when I was a kid,’” Jordyn wrote on Instagram Nov. 15 alongside a picture of her and Karl-Anthony smiling as they stand next to the truck. “So I went on a mission these past months to find the car, shipped it across the country, got it fixed up and was able to surprise him with it today for his 30th!”
Alongside the photo of Jordyn and Karl-Anthony posing with the vehicle, she included a childhood picture of Karl and his mother—who died in April 2020 after a battle with COVID—posing with the original vehicle. In another clip, Karl gave his new whip the seal of approval as he took it for a spin.
“This s--t is so fire,” he told Jordyn from behind the wheel. “This is the best thing ever.”
Aside from his new ride, the NBA player was showered with love during an intimate birthday party with his girlfriend of five years, friends, and fellow Knicks players. In honor of his big day, Jordyn penned a sweet tribute and highlighted their longtime love.
“Happy Birthday to the man that always brings the sunshine to my days,” she wrote in a Nov. 15 post. “I can’t imagine a life without you! 30 !!!! I love you! @karltowns.”
Jordyn has previously given rare insight into her and Karl’s love, sharing how they have been there for each other through the ups and the downs of life.
“I’m with my best friend,” she gushed on the Tamron Hall Show in October. “We get to do life together every day. We were friends for years before we got together. He went through a lot in his life, I lost my dad when I was 19. So, through what I’ve gone through, I was able to be a different type of support system for him and that’s what really blossomed our relationship to come together.”
As for her favorite qualities about her boyfriend? His ability to stay positive.
“He’s like a big kid and sometimes it’s a lot,” she quipped. “But he really keeps things exciting, and I think that’s a beautiful thing. Being able to channel your youth and when things get hard being super supportive and super optimistic. He is the most positive person and it’s really important to have people like that.”
