How Collin Gosselin Really Feels About Dad Jon Gosselin Getting Remarried

For Colin Gosselin, his dad Jon Gosselin's wedding to Stephanie Lebo was a bittersweet affair.

That's because his sextuplet sister Hannah Gosselin was the only other one of the eight Gosselin siblings—whom Jon shares with ex Kate Gosselin—to attend the Nov. 23 nuptials.

"I think despite any differences or ways we see things, I think today kind of signified the fact that we both love our father and we understand how much he deserves this," Collin, 21, told Entertainment Tonight in an interview the day of the wedding. "It would have been really nice to see my other siblings here."

He further detailed what it would have meant to see include fellow sextuplets Alexis, Leah, Aaden and Joel as well as sisters Mady and Cara, 25, there for the big day, despite he and Jon being estranged from them in recent years.

"I love them and I hope they know that we would have loved to see them here," Collin continued, "and I hope they understand how important marriages [are] and how happy it made me and Hannah to see our dad get married today."

Indeed, the Jon & Kate Plus 8 alum admitted being overcome as he watched Jon and Stephanie marry in an intimate wedding in Pennsylvania after four years of dating. 

"It was very emotional and usually I don't cry, but I just couldn't hold it back, especially when he read his vows, I just lost it," Collin explained. "It feels monumental for me because when I when I looked at my dad, I saw right through to him to all the hard things he's been through with marriage, with everything, and for me, I saw all these things just kind of floating away."

For him, it was a culmination of his dad’s healing journey in the years since his 2009 divorce from Kate.

He added, "It wasn't just tears of, 'Oh, they're getting married.' It was me seeing the past and then looking in this moment and realizing just how freeing this this is for him, and how much he deserves this and how much she deserves this."

And Jon, Collin believes, has found his perfect match in the research and development specialist.

"They just love each other unconditionally," he emphasized. "It doesn't have to be any sort of anything official. It just them. There's no script. There's no pressure. They just love each other and they have fun and they enjoy their lives together."

As Jon and Stephanie enjoy their lives as newlyweds, look back at Collin and his siblings over the years.
