Robert Irwin went from down under straight to the top.

And he's loving every minute of it. After all, the wildlife conservationist took home the Mirrorball trophy on season 34 of Dancing With the Stars alongside pro Witney Carson Nov. 25.

So, what's next after his big win?

"I go to New York and then straight to South Africa to film another show over there," Robert exclusively told E! News' Will Marfuggi. "And then, I'm back home."

In addition, he'll be joined by a familiar face. "Witney's coming down to Australia," he continued, with the dancer jokingly chiming in, "You're not getting rid of me that easy."

It's certainly been quite the journey for the duo. As Robert put it, "I've been able to write my own legacy with Witney as we tell stories of positivity, vulnerability, passion and fun."

For him, taking his moves to the dancefloor felt like a long time coming. In fact, the 21-year-old even recently shared a clip of himself from 2015 during his sister Bindi Irwin's season—in which she came in first with pro Derek Hough—expressing his interest in taking the stage.

The then-11-year-old gushed at the time, "Definitely, I would love to. That would be so much fun."

But amid the fun, there was a whole lot of intense dance training—especially in the lead-up to the finale. "My body is feeling it right now, Robert's body is feeling it right now," Witney admitted in a Nov. 24 TikTok, later adding that as they blocked their final dance numbers, "Robert's ribs have been killing him."

Still, they persevered through that last show.

Throughout each performance, Robert has kept his family on his mind, with Bindi even returning as his partner for the show's 20th anniversary Nov. 11. The pair—inspired by her own routine dedicated to their late dad Steve Irwin—danced to Leona Lewis' "Footprints in the Sand."

"Tonight was healing," Robert wrote on Instagram the day after. "This dance was emotional, beautiful and so deeply meaningful. I carry Dad's legacy with me in everything I do, and it was a privilege to dedicate our foxtrot to him."

Along with thanking his sister, he emphasized how grateful he was for Witney's help "choreographing such a beautiful story through dance and for creating a space for me to convey raw emotions that I've never gotten to share before."

Whether he's on the dancefloor or in the jungle, Robert knows that he always has a piece of their dad.

"I'm a proud Wildlife Warrior, and I'll always carry on my dad's mission," he concluded. "I'm so grateful that I can do that in the ballroom."

Robert was sure to make this season a family affair. While he dedicated the 20th anniversary dance to his dad, Robert also put a spotlight on their mom Terri Irwin during this season's dedication night.

"I will remember this night forever," he reflected on Instagram Oct. 15. "This dance was a story of love, loss, grief and gratitude. It is a thank you message to my mum, it was to pay tribute to all the strong mothers of the world, and the single parents."

"I know my dad was with us, and can only imagine how proud he would be of my mum," he added. "This dance is for all of us, thank you for your support."
