Rihanna has this viral moment on the brain.
Indeed, the Anti singer hilariously reacted to a close-up angle of her face being used as a meme in a post about relationships.
“Women don’t realize how much their boyfriends love ‘bad’ photos of them,” meme account Fembase wrote on their Nov. 21 Instagram post, including a photo of Rihanna, 37, slightly frowning as she performed at the V Festival in 2011. “These images can feel more authentic and intimate than highly polished shots.”
And while many commenters agreed with this sentiment, the Fenty Beauty founder—who shares kids RZA, 3, Riot, 2, and Rocki, 2 months, with boyfriend A$AP Rocky—couldn’t get past the off-guard picture of herself in the background
In fact, four days after the meme was posted, she jokingly wrote, “How I catch this stray tho?”
Though Rihanna wasn’t a fan of her stunned expression in the photo, the shot is an iconic reminder of how she’s always had an eye for fashion. (After all, she’s been hailed as the Queen of the Met Gala and pregnancy couture, no matter the season.) In the decade-old performance, she wore a denim crop top, black leather shorts adorned with diamonds, and her Loud-era auburn curls.
Since this moment, the “Wild Thoughts” star has only elevated her fashion. In fact, she and Rocky, 37, turned heads with their style at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards earlier this month. At the event, the “Babushka Boi” rapper (born Rakim Athelston Mayers) paired his black Chanel suit with a yellow sweater. Meanwhile, Rihanna opted for a trenchcoat-cinched look from Alaïa, her hair slicked back into a low bun.
And while she’s recently worn stunning looks, the Guava Island actor noted she had to rediscover her personal style when she became a mom.
“I feel like getting dressed is a fight on its own [now],” she told Harper’s Bazaar in February. “Everything is so logical. ‘What makes sense? What’s easy? What’s fast?’ I try not to overthink all that stuff, but you’re leaving the house. It kind of stops you from going out.”
She continued, “Doing my makeup, doing my hair, and then going to the closet and figuring out which three things in this entire room make sense together? You go through a fog. And fashion is so much fun, and I miss the fun.”
