Dave Coulier is embarking on another health battle.
Less than a year after the Full House star beat his diagnosis of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, he shared he was diagnosed with HPV-related oropharyngeal tongue cancer in October.
“It is a shock to the system,” Dave admitted to Today Dec. 2. “To go through chemotherapy and feel that relief of whoa, it’s gone, and then to get a test that says, well now you’ve got another kind of cancer.”
The 66-year-old—who has been married to Melissa Bring since 2014—admitted it had been a “really tough” year, noting that his latest diagnosis was found by a chance discovery during a follow-up scan.
“A couple of months ago, I had a PET scan, and something flared on the scan," Dave—dad to son Luc, 35, with ex Jayne Modean—explained. “The doctor said, 'We don't know what it is, but there's something at the base of your tongue.’”
After multiple biopsies, Dave was told the growth on his tongue was cancerous, but completely unrelated to his previous non-hodgkin lymphoma diagnosis. As he recalled, “I said, ‘Are you kidding me?’”
Indeed, the diagnosis, doctors told The Real Ghostbusters star, could stem from being infected with the HPV virus up to 30 years ago.
“A lot of people carry the HPV virus, but they said mine activated and turned into a carcinoma,” Dave explained. “We found it early enough where it’s very treatable. It’s got a 90% curability rate.”
And Dave is nipping the diagnosis in the bud, adding, “The doctor said the prognosis is good, but we're going to start radiation immediately.”
But despite the health challenges that he has been experiencing, though, Dave emphasized that he is doing OK.
“My joke usually is I’m doing really well for a guy with cancer,” he continued. “The silver lining here is that I had cancer, which helped me detect my other cancer. It seems crazy to be making that statement, but it’s true.”

Then in 2017, Camille had surgery to remove Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a type of skin cancer.

Alongside a pair of photos that show a line of stitches running from the bottom of his ear to his jaw, which he later covered with a bandage, the British celebrity chef shared that he underwent a procedure to treat skin cancer.
“Grateful and so appreciative for the incredible team at The Skin Associates and their fast reactive work on removing this Basal Cell Carcinoma,” Gordon wrote on Instagram August 2025. “Please don’t forget your sunscreen this weekend.”
“I promise you it’s not a face lift,” he added. “I’d need a refund…”
