In this preview clip from Sunday's season two premiere of The Royals, Queen Helena attempts to connect with estranged son Prince Liam after the paternity scandal by offering him King Simon's old cuff links and comparing him to the late monarch. Unfortunately, Liam is less than impressed by the bonding moment.
"You are very similar to him," she says while pouring him a drink. "People used to say that about Robert, Simon had tenacity and drive and a lot of qualities that you have."
"Do you realize you're talking about a man who supposedly is not my biological father?" he responds.
"Yes, I do realize that," she tells him. "But what I'm telling you is that when it comes to your greatness, biology is irrelevant."
"Try telling that to the crown," Liam replies. "I appreciate the cufflinks, Mom, but what I don't appreciate is the small talk." Shaaade!
